MM009 consists of three solid house tunes by our newest addition to the Marinated family J Fader, aka Jeff Griffith hails from the UK. He teams up with West London all stars, The Filta Freqz for a remix of the title tune Foxygroove.
Foxygroove is a jazzy slick and deep textured cut, and features smooth guitar licks and tucked moving keys layered around chunky drums and a bass that makes you groove.
The remix by Filta Freqz is deep, dark, and sexy. The acid bass is reminiscent of the House of Old, the House we love, thick early 90s deep house and garage. Sultry female vocals and bouncing bass bubbles and chuggs right along until a steep break clears the air, key tech tones develop within, and the drops takes you home.
The final track of the ep, Molango rounds out our ninth release in clean form. Mojango is dubbed out, straight forward, and to the point. Stabs of vocals and key strokes move the frameworks to this tune as midway through, a techlike hypnotic rhythm takes you into jazzy horn cuts and back around into the dub that started you on this journey of Mojango funk.
