These two tracks from the 1976 Michael Orr and Carey Harris album "Spread Love" get a special extended reissue on Kenny Dope and Keb Darge's Kay-Dee label. A much overlooked soul tune, "Spread Love" has a jazz funk sensibility and a vocal reminiscent of Gil Scott-Heron which together generate a special kind of spiritual soul. The spiritual freeness of "You Opened My Eyes To The World" is even more pronouced than the former, soaring above the clouds with an cosmic aura.
