Rising out of the fold of Northern clubbing institution Back To Basics, Constant Sound is a collaborative venture from Burnski and Jon Woodall that sees the pair draw on decades of involvement in the house music scene to present a clear vision of underground, up to the minute gear for the dance floor. Burnski has more than ten years worth of releases on highly regarded house and techno labels under his belt, not to mention a steady stream of gigs in some of the most prestigious party spots across Europe and beyond. Woodall meanwhile has been instrumental in the continued success of Back To Basics in its native Leeds, acting as a resident DJ and booker for the night and sharing the decks with some of the finest spinners in the business. Their new project reaches out to likeminded souls and long time friends, as well as drawing on their own productions and combined creations as Constant. Burnski kicks the label off in style with “Your Love”, a perfectly chiseled late night cut riding high on head-nodding stabs and an impassioned vocal, while the two accompanying remixes speak volumes for the direction Constant Sound is heading in. Trus'me has always been an ambassador for forward-thinking house and techno, both in his productions and with his unparalleled Prime Numbers imprint, and his approach here nails the balance between focused energy and starry-eyed psychedelia. Steve O’Sullivan, also known for his legendary dub techno work as Bluetrain and The Wise Caucasian amongst others, brings a delicate touch to his own remix, delivering what could well be his housiest track to date.
