MINDSHAKE039 | 2016-03-07
2016 has started strongly for Mindshake and in the 39th delivery of our sophisticated catalogue, we welcome Nick Curly.

Nick is an artist with a clear musical vision, a producer with a prominent career who has established himself as one of the pre-eminent international figures in the modern era of house and techno music. He currently stands in the top 100 of some of the industry references as one of the most charted acts of all time, and his increasingly full diary is, among other things, a reflection of his delicacy as a producer; skills that we can see on his releases for labels like Terminal M, Cocoon, Saura, SCI + TEC, 8bit, Cecille and Truesoul, among others.

In 'Olimpic EP”, featuring two original tracks and a delicious remix, Nick Curly develops his consolidated musical rhetoric, with percussive and sinuous tech-house made up of seductive and killer sounds.

'Olimpic Original Mix' is funky tech-house with magnetic textures and a precise touch of atmospheric vocals. It is perhaps Curly’s attempt at giving us some shine on those cold winter nights by sending us to tropical paradises, where the groove takes us into a dance reverie and makes us explode in euphoria. 'Gorilla Original Mix' is mysterious, wrapped in a rolling deep groove that peaks throughout, the meticulous use of tight synth atmospheres giving a feeling of a contained anxiety and keeping the listener flowing with emotions. The remix of 'Olimpic' comes from Egbert, who adheres perspective and a dark sense, inserting drums that focus on the eloquence of the vocal resonance.

With this unique piece, Paco Osuna’s label Mindshake strengthens its determination to push electronic music culture even further forward.
