Ursa Major / Ursa Minor

Kid Who

Pizzico Records
PN029 | 2011-11-03
Since the release of his debut 12" on the legendary Belgian edits imprint Mindless Boogie two years ago, British DJ and producer Louis Jaquet aka Kid Who has gone from strength to strength, making his way with jazzin' dj sets in London, his Town.
With one EP and a string of remixes under his belt for artists including Miguel Migs, Crystal Fighters and Jupiter, his music has received support from Aeroplane, Diskjokke, Faze Action and Tim Sweeney to name a few, and he's certainly showing no sign of slowing down.
Now Pizzico got him for full-bodied ep entirely dedicated to the dancefloor: the original tracks are literally dope, The "Major" and the "Minor" Ursas represent two faces of the same groovy spirit: hypnotic musical trips to a clubby kind of nirvana.
Cadenza piles it on with a vertigo of disco minimal cuts and a sturdy rhythm, remixes are fancy: Fratelli Riviera (aka Michele Tessadri) turn Ursa Major into a junkie house hit, then Enzo Ponzio (the homeboy is back?) gives to Cadenza a "thievery" touch, back in the daze..
