Also known as DJD, Dominic Dawson originally released ‘Shake It For Me’ on Influence (an off-shoot of Defender Music), in the early noughties.
Collating the best of the various mixes of ‘Shake It For Me’, this package includes a mix by house master Junior Jack and the ‘Disco Adjustment’ version, co-remixed with Dominic and featuring additional instrumentation from Chaz Jankel, best known as a Blockhead and for being Ian Drury’s co-writer on hits like ‘Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll’ and ‘Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick’. The third mix comes from Albert Cabrera, a stalwart on the New York house scene over the last two decades, who takes a more layered instrumental approach.
