WPH011 | 2011-04-04
WPH enters 2011: It's been a while since our last 'regular' release, but patience is always rewarded. The reward in question is called Sebastien San, French producer 'par excellence' that has been 'at it' for as long as we can remember. Releases on Echocord and Planet E have earned him a place in the heart of many Detroit lovers worldwide. And him and the rest of the WPH family all being part of the roster of Deep'Art booking agency, this release was bound to happen.'Great Cities E.P.' is a package crammed with Detroit delights, with a deep San Soda remix as a little bonus thrown in. Things kick offf with the title track in original an ad lib version. The latter surprisingly beatless, but deep as you wanna go. 'Pulsation' takes things in the hypnotising direction Sebastien San is an expert in, drawing you in an working both mind and body. Then we see San Soda bring us his downtempo look on 'Great Cities'. And yes, you can dance to it, only a bit slower than usual, or you'll look a right *ss grooving to this one at 120 bpm dance speed' Finishing things is 'Theories', another gorgeous slice of Sebastien San music that we cannot call techno, nor house. It's simply good dance music, the essence of the WPH universe.
