With the strains of last weekend's BBC Radio 1 'Essential Mix' still ringing in our ears and his brand new Intec release "Slide" romping up the sales charts, Robert Babicz prepares to unleash what is only the fourth release on his very own Babiczstyle imprint.

Babiczstyle has been launched by Robert as a platform for him to release some of the large archive of work that he has written for his live sets. "I see the label as a platform, where i release only my own music and collaborations. I do this to have a platform with the highest possible audio quality and have a place for me and my friends to release our music." - Robert Babicz

The "Nektar EP" is a four track collection of exclusively new material. All of which featured in Robert's 'Essential Mix'. The soulful vibes of "Nektar" lead from the front. The warm yet weighty electronic bassline is matched with a seemingly opposed female vocal lick and delicate piano chords. Yet with an added synth melody, the sounds come together to create something extra special. Backing the title track is the brilliantly moody and locked tight groove of "Darkroom." As the title suggests, best administered is the seediest and sweatiest of basements.

Track three and we are taken on the good ship Babicz for an intergalactic acid trip on "Vibrating Heart Toy" before coming back down to earth for the final cut, "From Manchester To Newcastle." Majestically matching power and beauty as only Robert can, the track takes us deeper as he soundtracks the late night road-riding experience of the modern DJ. With its almost D&B style groove and its softly sweeping synths and vocal samples one can imagine it being lit by the rapidly passing street lamps.
