Last summer NG Trax staple names Nima Gorji and Shoxy teamed up in Malaga to create a fresh package of tracks that now make up this excellent Malaga Stories EP. Complete with a remix from long term companion of the pair, Valentino Kanzyani. After all, they do say good things come in threes.

Gorji has long been an underground hero who has released on key labels such as Fuse, SCI + TEC, Body Parts and of course his home territory, NG Trax, which he appears for this time around. Always drawing influences from 90s house, Detroit techno and minimal sounds along the way.

Opener Los Montes is a deep, slick groove with icy hi hats and warped bass that gets you under its spell. It's a bubbly cut with real atmosphere for the heads that know on the dance floor. Club room or after party, this caters.

Valentino Kanzyani's remix is a little more driven, with bubbling drums and dark bass taking you deep down the rabbit hole, where sci-fi motifs and intricate percussive patterns await. Drifting you in and out of the hypnotic loops.

Last of all, Road To Casablanca is a smooth micro-house groove with warm chords and a feel good, spirit lifting vibe. It's a mix of deft percussion and watery sound effects, busy bass and smart sound design that really sweeps you off your feet with a smile.
