Following the release of DJ Persuasion's Jameela EP in the summer of 2024, Ulterior Motives is proud to present Jameela - The Remixes. Three of the UK’s most hotly tipped artists, Outrage, Ghost Phone and Noah Tucker, offer their take on Jameela, alongside a brand-new DJ Persuasion jam, Moon Blues (Get Ill).
Outrage is the man of the moment in jungle and drum & bass. His imminent reworks of DJ Crystl and Adam F have been doing the rounds on dubplate for some time. On his Jameela remix, Outrage ramps up the tempo and accelerates the vibe of the original, adding a lilting, bubbling sub-bass guaranteed to shake the foundations of any club.
Ghost Phone made waves in 2024 with his Missed Calls From Paradise tape. The tape showcased his innate abilities as a producer, which have been closely guarded until recently. Ghostie’s remix slows the pace of the original to a house tempo and takes inspiration from darker shades of Gqom and Amapiano.
Noah Tucker runs Ulterior Motives Recordings. He features regularly on radio stations across London, from Kindred, where he works behind the scenes, to Rinse, where he frequently appears as a guest. His white label productions for the original UM white series have notched up hundreds of thousands of plays on SoundCloud. For his first official remix, Noah takes a post-rave breaks paradigm and spikes it with a Jersey club groove.
Finally, DJ Persuasion delivers a fresh bonus track in the form of Moon Blues (Get ill), showcasing his dual obsession with golden-era jungle and intelligent drum & bass.
