THE GRUV MANICS PROJECT

The Gruv Manics Project is a musical collaboration founded in 2015 by two talented producers: Molefi Choabi and Thapelo David Nkal. Their music style can be described as a fusion of soul, funk, and African, with elements of jazz and blues mixed in.

Molefi, the founder of the group, was born and raised in South Africa in the small town of Lichtenburg, North West, where he was exposed to a diverse range of musical genres at an early age. He began producing when he was only 15 years old and quickly developed a passion for music. After studying at the South West Media College in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, he moved back to pursue his career as a professional audio engineer.

Since their inception, The Gruv Manics Project has released numerous record labels, which Gentle Soul Records, Sound Chronicles Recordz, HSR Records (Italy), Vibe Boutique Records, Open Bar Music, Afro Truly Music, BAASBOY MUSIC just to name a few. They have garnered critical acclaim for their unique blend of soul, funk, and afro beats, and their live performances are known for their high energy and infectious grooves.

The Gruv Manics Project has shared the stage with many notable DJs and producers, including Vinny Da Vinci, Christos, Murumba Pitch, Chronical Deep, and many others. They have also collaborated with several artists, including Richelle Hicks, Desney Bailey, Dearson, and Angela Gooden, and have contributed music to several radio stations.

Despite their success, The Gruv Manics Project remains committed to creating innovative and soulful music that speaks to people of all ages and backgrounds. They continue to push the boundaries of their genre and inspire audiences around the world with their infectious grooves.
