LARRY PENA

Larry Peña,​​ from Washington Heights New York City is a DJ, Producer and Song Writer. Larry is first generation born American with both parents raised in Cuba. At the young age of 11, Larry began playing music at Bridge Street Apartments in his hometown. By age 15, Larry started playing in Baturo Club, which launched his career as a professional DJ. He began attending parties at Fun House, Thriller, and The Garage, listening to legendary DJs such as John Jellybean Benitez, Kenny Carpenter and Larry Levan. Nearing his later teens, he began breaking the house music scene in New York City with a residency at Love Lite. From there, Larry played at world renowned New York City clubs such as China Club, Nells, Palladium, Copa Cabana, and Supper Club. In his early 20s, Larry began working at Quad Studios where he surrounded himself with some of the biggest names in house music, such as the late great Frankie Knuckles and one of the original kings of house, David Morales. Larry then began traveling overseas to play and share his music with the world. He journeyed to the UK, Italy, France and Germany playing at clubs such as Ministry of Sound, Hard Times, Bump N Hustle and Folies Pigalle. Larry owned his own underground club, The Vault, in Phoenix, Arizona, held a residency at Boycott Bar, Calle 8, and play as a special guest DJ at Bar Smith. He launched his own entertainment company, Play It By Ear Entertainment, LLC. He also now has a weekly residency on the UK based radio station, Soul Mix Radio. Most recently, he has released an EP on Oscar P's label Open Bar Music/Azucar Digitial Distribution that topped both the Afro House and Hype Charts on Traxsource.
