TOMMY VEE

Introduced to music at the age of 12, spending most of his time with cousins 4 years older. On his 14th birthday, his father bought him his first Technics 1200 turntable, and shortly after, he acquired the second. He started playing primarily hip hop and dancing. As he grew older, at the age of 18, Tommy began playing in some small clubs in Venice, and after just 2 years, he had the opportunity to become the resident DJ of a new large club just outside Venice called Terminal.

During those times, he mostly played acid jazz and vocal-soulful house. In the same years, he met other colleagues of the same age like Spiller and Keller. With Spiller, he formed the duo Laguna (1996), producing their first EP, from which the track "Massive Club: Spiller from Rio" was taken. His DJ career was rapidly growing, being a resident at some of the most important clubs in the Venetian district such as Muretto, Matilda, Extra Extra, etc.

In 1998, with Keller and Sisco, Tommy formed the dance project Moltosugo. With Mauro Ferrucci's Airplane Records and Tommy himself, the collaboration was very strong and prolific, giving Tommy the opportunity to grow as a producer. Under his name, he signed with Credence "Aadizookanag- Traditional Story" and with the nickname Moltosugo, he was involved in productions with DB Boulevard, Moony, Double Dee, Lucrezia, and many others.

He has also remixed many Italian artists, including Vasco Rossi, Laura Pausini, Mengoni, etc.

In the last 20 years, he has worked at Space Ibiza, then at Amnesia, and with partner Mauro Ferrucci B2B for 13 years of residency at Blue Marlin. Considered one of the most representative Italian DJs, Tommy currently also uses other pseudonyms like Plaster Hands and Dose 4 and continues to produce.

He is now a co-owner of Airplane Records.
