SHALATI

"Shalati Mahori" is an aspiring young singer, songwriter, and musician from Pretoria, South Africa. Started singing in church at the age of seven and joined the school choir during her Matric year.

Shalati is part of a band called Afro Lyric got multiple opportunities to perfom and share stages with some of Africa`s greatest artists namely; Lira, Oliver Mtukuzi, Ringo, Kunle Ayo, Afrotration, Press, Zonke, Sandz, Monea, Donald, Maleh, Nathi Vusi Nova. She later went to study Musical Theatre at the South African State Theatre where she wrote and directed her own one-hander and she was the musical director and composer for the Naledi Theatre Awards nominated show lifted at the South African State Theatre.

She got her first professional role in the play "Meriring" as one of the lead characters. She continues performing, writing plays and making music and is now currently working on her solo projects. Shalati has been featured on a debut album called "Beat To Soul" in association with SAMRO Foundation.
