Ranj plays and makes a unique blend of deep, hip swinging, grooves that is full to the brim with emotion and feeling. Tending to stay away from anything too dark but still with a sprinkle of melancholy and sex appeal.

Having grown up to the sounds of late 70's and early 80's Jazz Funk and Electro as well as European electronica Ranj ended up with quite a mixed bag of musical tastes.

His first foray into professional DJing started in 1986 when he started playing at various Rank Leisure venues in South London and Surrey.After being poached by European Leisure in 1992 he went on to be resident DJ at the hugely successful Pure nights in St Albans till 1996 which led to playing at various nights at Ministry Of Sound, Turnmills, Bagley's, EC1 club, Club UK and The Cross. As well as that he also ran Creative Sounds record shop in Kingston Surrey.

After spending 15 years as resident Dj at the world-famous gentleman's club, Stringfellows, and following the start of the global pandemic, Ranj thought the time was right to start making music for himself and took to it like a duck to water. What followed over the next two years was a string of releases on labels such as Stripped Recordings, Affiliate, Balkan Connection, Capital Heaven, Pangea, ARRVL, Crossfade Sounds to name but a few and his music has also won him support from the likes of Francois K, Guy Gerber, Alex Neri, Nick Warren, Terry Farley plus many more.
Ranj even reached number 3 in the another download site electronica chart sandwiched between Bicep and Royksopp for a while.
Ranj currently hosts a weekly show on London Music Radio and a monthly show on Frisky Radio
