QB SMITH

QB Smith aka Warm Days aka Sun-Doe is a music producer, performer, DJ, and educator of more than twenty five years, a deep collector of all things soul, jazz, afro-diasporic, inter-planetary, ancient to future.

Known for his house and electronic music contributions, QB will tell you this was always jazz first. Nowadays QB is in "the shed", as musicians call that place, honing a live electronic performance practice blending finger drums and controllerism into DJ sets and full band situations.

Launched the Warm Days label in 2010, which brought together significant jazz musicians, legendary house artists, grime and hip hop mcs, and fellow producers, with the label showcasing sounds from the likes of Atjazz, dubstep and Gilles Peterson fave Swindle, regular contributor Mark de Clive-Lowe, New York's DJ Spinna, Monique Bingham, philly soul princess Lady Alma, Japanese saxophonist Masa Nakamura with Bembe Segue, and modern day soul diva Sandra St Victor.

Teaches Music Production and related subjects, giving master classes at numerous universities and colleges.
