CUECA RECORDINGS

Cueca Recordings was born from the overseas partnership between Jonathan David from Canada & Matt McLarrie from Scotland. They connected through a shared love for tribal ethnic house music and organic grooves. Unlike many other online collaborations, this duo comes together and creates in real time online where both their styles, passion and emotion mesh together to produce tracks that are special and unique to them. This resulted in releasing music on hugely respected labels such as Elrow, Younan Music, Material Series, King Street Sounds, Madtech, KMS Records, Witty Tunes, Xima, Monique Special, My Little Dog & Mile End. Their sound together is a connection of deep tribal rhythms, pulsating atmospheric FX and an overall world sound. This close connection at a musical level has grown into a strong brotherly bond and ultimately led to the creation of Cueca Recordings. Jonathan’s roots in Chile, their love for ethnic cultures and a thirst for making people dance resulted in the name Cueca Recordings.
