After a short hiatus we are happy to see the dynamic duo of Jon ManimaL & Magros aka metrONomes back with another dancefloor busting cut titled Karma. Last time we saw the guys was on their (+) EP which gained great support. Coming from different backgrounds and having both spent much time exploring music personally, they are able to join together and produce some stunning progressive and tech works in a unique way which shows off their personalities. The result is a mixture of different music styles, thoughts, perspectives and beliefs blended in one music scheme. They have taken their Metronomes Live Project on the road and performed with various artists around the world including Sander Kleinenberg, Guy J, D-Nox, Phil Thompson aka Moonface, Antony Pappa, Son Kite, Tycon, Armin Van Buuren, Antix aka Fiord, Symphonix, Glen Morison, John Digweed, G Pal and many more. Always an exciting time when their new music drops into the office.

The first of three killer tracks from metrONomes is Karma which intros with hypnotic drums that carry a tribal vibe. Punchy kick drums drive the track while darker percussion elements come through. A deep underlying buzzing bass drone adds intensity, giving the track an edge. The break continues with the drums and introduces shifting pads before that thumping kick returns. Chanting vocals raise the hair on your neck making this an absolute beast of a track for the peak time set.

The Dark House intros with a gut busting bass pulse and muted kick alongside space age FX. Punchy kick drums soon follow with soft hi hats in tow. The track takes on a sinister persona as that bass hypnotizes and the groove evolves. Haunting pads rise up as much pluckier and gritty basses make an appearance giving the track a dynamic sound. Top notch stuff that will not disappoint.

Lost Bodies rounds off this threesome of deep techno gems and there can be no doubt that this one is monster of a track. A full on muscular slice of techno filled with pounding kick drums and deep, solid basses. The track also has lots of depth as mysterious pads lull the senses. A nice rhythmic drum section keeps the toes tapping as the murky narrative takes us deeper. With cinematic qualities, this one is truly a masterpiece of techno that is not to be missed.
