Rood
Original Mix (6:11)
  follow:
Mexico native Doriaan aka Dorian Padilla shows up on our Bonzai Basiks label with the fantastic Rood which is backed up with a solid remix from Bonzai legend Ben Knoxx. This one follows his last outing here ' Roasrio on Green Martian ' and goes some way to showcasing the diverse skillset this guy has. Doriaan is building up a discography that has one objective, to make people dance and feel a wide range of emotions. He has been focused on producing trance music, but it is inevitable to hear some other genres influences in his productions. From techno, to deep house, psy trance or even classical, his musical taste inspires him to create music that has groove, melody and emotion. Worrying less and less every day about labelling genres, the main objective of his project is to deliver great music and great feelings and memories for his audience.

The Original Mix wastes no time in getting into a techno groove, the intro boasts a solid, punchy kick drum and chugging bassline which fades in with the low end cut off before the filters open to reveal a deep, lush rolling bass. The drums stand out with snare rolls raising the energy levels alongside darker elements. A serious dancefloor contender that will not disappoint.

The legend that is Techno DJ and producer Ben Knoxx returns to Bonzai Basiks with a solid remix. This mysterious character boasts a long-standing career in dance music, particularly with Bonzai. In recent years he burst onto the scene with a vibrant, fresh approach to pumping Techno in his Ben Knoxx guise. A string of Hard Trance and Techno hits in the 90's certainly put this guy on the map and in more recent years he's put himself into many different genres under various guises with great success. A new-found enthusiasm and outside influences have developed into a desire to get back in the studio and come up with the goods. He is influenced by Techno stars such as Nina Kravitz, Carl Cox, Charlotte De Witte, Angy Kore, Amelie Lens and Deborah De Luca and it's the modern sound that has created a spark igniting a Techno explosion in his creative armoury. Here the intro harbours an intense industrialised techno theme complete with metallic hits and a sublime, deep menacing bass. Thumping kick drums beat out a powerful rhythm while surreal melodies cut through the murk. A top notch cut that will rock any venue, not to be missed.
