Sofitone Records introduces Carl Stanley, an incredibly talented Jazz musician, Writer & Producer.Carl Stanley has been playing saxophones & keyboards since he began teaching himself to play at the age of 16. He began playing professionally after 4 years of self-tuition playing in his hometown in various bands, including his own jazz funk quartet, at bars, nightclubs, restaurants weddings etc. around the country. At age 24 he was invited to tour with legendary jazz funk pioneer Roy Ayers after sitting in on one of his shows, performing at Ronnie Scott�s Jazz Club in London & other notable venues around the UK and Europe for 3 years.
Carl has been associated with various nightclubs for almost 8 years now and has performed alongside some of the worlds top club dj's such as Ron Carroll, Jeremy Healy, Norman Jay, Roger Sanchez & Brandon Block to name just a few. At age 32 Carl joined pop idol winner Will Young on a UK theatre tour, as part of his band playing Tenor, Alto, Soprano saxophones, flute & keyboards appearing on TOP OF THE POPS, CDUK, THIS MORNING and GMTV. Now 34 he works all over the uk with various bands as well as running his new band called CARL STANLEYS FUNKY FAMILY. We think you will agree that his performances along side Nuwavonic Records� head man Andy Holder, are Oozing with soul & character! His talent is unquestionable!!
