A seasoned veteran in the music game, Mr Nicholson has carved a solid foundation of decades of beautiful music. It’s a pleasure welcome him to the Yoruba family. Osunlade and Anthony met years ago in Croatia at the first Suncebeat festivals and spoke about working together then. It wasn’t until the pandemic while interviewing Mr Nicholson for an upcoming documentary that Osunlade and his partner Alfredo Castillo have been producing that Osunlade received a list of songs and ‘Nucleus Scene 1’ stood out among the lot. Needless to say the original is deep and sultry with melodies and arrangement that kill. The Yoruba Soul Mix fosters the help of label mate Miles Bonny with John Arnold and a few other amazing players while Cee ElAssaad brings the afro house vibes with added piano to the front.
