Carreno Is LB -Monster Truck Single (Days Of Being Wild 012)¶Including Hiem, Rotten City, Catalepsia remixes.¶I'm listening to Monster Truck sipping a coffee and thinking about this press release I need to write.¶And, well I feel a bit feverish suddenly… and the coffee suddenly tastes too strong, my stomach hurts a bit…¶I pull out the Carreno's biog I have:¶"Keeping in mind that this kid has been exposed to the 'The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes', it's only to be expected that his music comes so tightly compressed with that paranormal sound. Born in 1989 and raised in the Hotel Overlook, he's a fervent lover of irreverent, profane electronic music."¶Maybe that explains why I feel like that… This slice of pounding dark electro needs to be experienced late… in some dark place… not too sober, well definitely not on caffeine.¶So I think to myself, I'm going to listen to the remixes maybe they will make me feel better…¶Hiem is really not helping here. Man… what's wrong with these people. This is a moist take on the original, it's relentless, it's grabbing me and I have now taken my t-shirt off, and spilled the coffee on the carpet.¶I'm dancing like a crazy idiot in the office (luckily I'm on my own).¶By the time the Rotten City remix kicks in I'm demented, dancing and raving like a mad man. Behind Rotten City is Alvaro Cabana escaped from Los Lopez and shamefully hiding from his sins… This is now peak hour dementia, drums are cascading, out of time, too loud, punk.¶By making things more psychedelic and toning down the electro vibe, Catalepsia eventually snaps me out of my physical madness and gets a tighter grip on my mind.¶Are we seriously releasing this? Man I'm getting old.¶I calm down… I need to write that press release.¶I wipe the coffee stain off the carpet but it's too late, it sunk in. Shit. It's not even lunch time… I'm getting old.¶Franz¶
