The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Vicissu, Havjers and URANNIA to the label for their debut EP. Based in Brazil, Cuba and Brazil respectively, all three artists land on the label with impressive resumes. The trio's combined discography is highlighted by releases via Clubsonica, Droid9, Mango Alley and Pillar, where their unique takes on progressive and melodic house have flourished. Now, as they continue to earn praise from the genre's tastemakers, the trio combine their extensive forces for their Movement Recordings debut ‘Slowly', alongside remixes from Bobby Deep and Futur-E.

The title track finds Vicissu and Havjers crafting a groovy percussive journey aimed squarely at the dancefloor. The duo's warm well-contoured grooves, timeless tonal themes and lively drum arrangements set the perfect foundation for dark electronics and emotive vocal hooks to work their magic. Continuing to evolve leading into the break, it's the vocal which remains the focal point, bringing hopeful qualities across the interlude, elevating mood and tension, before getting washed away in a perfect marriage of rumbling grooves and rebounding rhythms. The companion piece ‘Yesterday' by Vicissu and URANNIA continues the EP's thunderous dancefloor assault. The duo's hip-swinging grooves are immediately captivating, cruising across the first act, as catchy arps and orbiting effects create a colourful canopy of sound, while a well-crafted break brings headier qualities as deconstructed sonics and gated vocals lead to a memorable dancefloor moment.

The first interpretation of ‘Slowly' finds Futur-E returning to the label for his fifth appearance. As the Movement Recordings label manager, the Greek artist has delivered three originals and two remixes since making his debut with a contribution to the label's popular ‘Technical Progress' series in 2020. Often finding a creative balance between progressive and melodic house, the Elefsis resident remains choosey in his projects, with standout appearances on Mango Alley and Stripped Recordings in recent years. Now, making a welcome return to his comfortable home of Movement, Futur-E dials in a stunning rendition of ‘Slowly'. Taking inspiration from the original, the Greek artist flexes his free-thinking muscles and crafts a version that lands comfortably between the dramatic and emotive. Neatly manicured percussion and a thunderous, machine-gun style groove set the course for snatches of prophetic stabs and trippy effects, before a vocal infused break preludes a cosmically correct finale.

Rounding out the release is Bobby Deep who returns to the label with the second and final interpretation of ‘Slowly'. With a career that spans the better part of two decades, Greek artist Bobby Deep has been a respected figure in his country's electronic underground. A timeless style has seen the Lamia resident showcase his music via longstanding imprints AH Digital and Mystic Carousel Records, with multiple appearances on Movement Recordings as well, the most recent of which was a contribution to the label's ‘Technical Progress' series earlier this year. Now, making a return to the label, Bobby delivers a standout interpretation of ‘Slowly'. Opting for a deeper approach, Bobby's spacious progressive framework allows the vocal to breathe beautifully, while rolling percussion and chugging rhythms make for a perfect mid-set vibe to close out the release in style.
