Groove Junkies, Reelsoul (aka Groove N' Soul) and Tertulien Thomas' masterful covers of the David Joseph classic 'You Can't Hide' and Keni Burke's seminal song 'Risin' To The Top' each reached the highly coveted #1 spot on Traxsource's Soulful House Top 100 chart back in 2020 & 2021 respectively. Both cuts were supported by a who's who list of DJ's & tastemakers including House heavyweights such as Louie Vega, DJ Spen, Doug Gomez, Grant Nelson, Roog, David Harness, Tedd Patterson, Dario D' Attis, Michele Chiavarini, Mr. V, Terry Hunter, Opolopo, Richard Earnshaw, Marques Wyatt, Ian Friday, Micky More & Andy Tee, Booker T., Mijangos and Groove Assassin to name a few.

The 'RECVRD' EP Vol 1 shines a light on stellar remixes of the aforementioned songs that we've been patiently waiting to drop. So. Africa native Shane D's brilliant take on the fellas cover of the Paradise Garage staple 'You Can't Hide' was first introduced on our '20 Years of MoreHouse Vol 2' compilation in early 2023. His signature funk infused vocal remix stays true to the David Joseph original and is now accompanied by a sturdy Dub and Instrumental.

Rounding out the RECVRD EP Vol 1 is a dope downtempo version of the Groove N' Soul 'Sunday Service' Vocal of 'Risin' To The Top.' The EP also includes a tight Instrumental & Pianopella Mix of the Keni Burke cover to have some fun with. NYC DJ and legendary sound man SBS Shorty added his magic onto the final mixes with great effect! The 'Downtempo' mix is a perfect set starter (& closer), or will work like a charm for those special old school moments. ENJOY!
