Next up on MoreHouse is an original tune oozing with soul and penned by Groove Junkies' Evan Landes & vocalist Nichelle Monroe titled 'Redesign.' The two have previously delivered chart toppers such as 'My Truth' and their gorgeous take on The Isley Bros. classic 'Harvest For The World' with GJs long time collaborator Reelsoul. This time the two have linked up with accomplished House veteran Joey Silvero (working under his Distant People moniker) who co-produced the track, along with Groove Junkies.
The inspiration for the song coincides with all the turmoil going on in the world today and a seemingly never ending flood of external stimulation permeating our daily consciousness. Needless to say, with all that's going on it can be very difficult to stay focused & centered. 'Redesign' is both timely and relatable as it deals with this common conundrum and offers a path forward that's aligned in positivity, self-love, awareness and care. The track is primed to move the listener on many levels and serves as a sturdy foundation for Nichelle's heartfelt vocal.
Distant People has enjoyed success with projects on iconic imprints such as Quantize, Mercembe, Foliage, Makin Moves, Sole Channel, Tribe, Tony's Records, Purple, Soulstice and Vibe boutique to name a few. Silvero is also one half of the Afro based duo Sister Pearl (along with singer / songwriter Tasita D'mour) - yet another successful alter ego who have had releases on Tribe, Quantize, Dafia and Big Speaker. A long time in the making, he is a welcome addition to the extended MoHo fam.
