Rob Rives' 2009 production revisited by Pete Heller, Tedd Patterson and Roberto Rodriguez.It has been fifteen years since Rob Rives signed his Floppy Sounds project with New York's Wave Music and after a string of critically acclaimed singles and two brilliant albums his music is still sounding as fresh now as it ever was. Rives has been a key proponent of New York's house music scene, exploring the darker, tech fuelled side of electronic music both a producer, DJ, remixer and engineer. He has worked alongside musical luminaries such as Danny Tenaglia and Francois K and put his unique sound to remixes for artists such as Kraftwerk, Green Velvet, Yoko Ono, Luke Slater and X-press 2 but it is his own solo productions that have really fired the imagination of music lovers everywhere with his own explorative approach to electro fuelled tech house.

'City for Sale' was a critically acclaimed success on its release in 2009, now Wave Music have compiled a set of remixes from a group of artists who all share Rives passion for house music and bring their own distinct style to bear.

First up we have two mixes from acid house hero Pete Heller, a Dj and producer whose roots can be traced back to the heady days of Danny Rampling's seminal Shoom night and whose productions were a key part of the success of the Junior Boys Own label. Here, Heller turns out a tough and uncompromising version that provides a perfect soundbed to the distinctly NYC orientated vocals whilst also offering up a stripped and chunky dub mix that is perfect for those who like things a little less lyrical, quality stuff.

Next up New York music legend Tedd Patterson turns his years of experience to bear, with a deep and percussive mix that taps straight into the sound of the underground. Spacious, hypnotic and beautifully mixed this is a gem of a remix that adds Patteron's own character to this stunning remix package.

To complete the collection Scandinavian DJ/Producer Roberto Rodriguez, a man who has been a mainstay with labels such as Compost, Freerange and Plastic City, turns his hand to conjuring up two epic mixes in the form of a vocal mix and dub. Both mixes provide a journey into rolling melodic house with strings, pads and keys riding the rich sub bass and perfectly layered percussion. Two great mixes from one exceptional producer.
