With releases on VIVA and Leena, Tim Weeks is a man on top of his game, and here lands on the ever reliable Carpe Diem Musica.
Vibeaholic is a chunky workout, phat and chunky, with some cool classic stabs, shrouded in a tasty techie grooved workout, with a bit of swagger for good measure. A slight dark edge, but with plenty of groove, this is rather solid.
First up on remix duties we find Ki Creighton & Makanan, who are both on fine form as solo artists and also for their mighty collaborations too. The boys take things in an authentic Detroit techno direction, with nods to Ron Trent. Great use of the stabs raises the temperature, as they deliver another dance floor gem.
Leeds based Jay Kurmis steps up next, and with his productions gracing Hot Creations, Material and Moon Harbour, his sound is a perfect fit for this label. His re-interpretation is another timeless vibed gem, with plenty of bounce, and great effects on the stabs, giving a trippy tinge. Solid stuff.
Rounding off the package, an other original track entitled 'Nocturnal'. Plenty of retro references here, with its cool beats, clunky bass, drum fills and top line with a hint of acid and a stack of bounciness for good measure too.
