Have You Felt This Way Before

DIA014 | 2003-10-15
This is the record that launched our first jazz album project and kicked off our entrae to a whole new audience taken from their critically-acclaimed debut album "Have You Felt This Way Before"

Kyoto Jazz Massive Remix The Okino brothers bless the Diaspora stable with a late summer 'feel good' boogie. A punchy broken house beat melds seamlessly with rhythmic funk guitar and sweet keyboard work (courtesy of Sleepwalker) to form a luscious bed in which Chantal Thompson's vocals can lie both radio and club-friendly and already working floors worldwide.

Album Version A melancholy love ballad and instrumental jazz workout fused into one, we're treated to a live-off-the-floor velvet smooth vocal performance punctuated by quite serious horn, rhodes, and guitar. All accomplished composers and performers, it is Directions' ability to weave an improvised tapestry within the boundaries of truly inspired group composition, setting themselves apart from merely being 'jazzy' they are jazz

West Magnetic Remix Deep house vibes with more 'oomph' in the kick and more sub in the bass sublime
