INCIPIT

INCIPIT is more than just a stage name — it's an anagram of Pinci, the surname of Lorenzo Pinci, a DJ and producer born in Rome, who chose this alias to embody the idea of a new beginning and a musical narrative ready to unfold. The creative spark that shaped his sound was ignited in 2007, when Lorenzo spent six months living on the island of Zanzibar. There, he came into direct contact with African musical culture, learning the language of tribal rhythms and native percussion, elements that would become central to his artistic path.
After years of study, experimentation, and personal growth, Lorenzo felt the need to bring together his two musical souls: one rooted in the earth and tribal beats, the other drawn to the futuristic landscapes of electronic music. INCIPIT was born in 2025, an ambitious project with the goal of blending the raw energy of Afro percussion with the hypnotic structures of melodic techno and contemporary Afro house.
His biggest influences include artists such as Paul Kalkbrenner, Black Coffee, Anyma, and Joeski — visionaries who turned electronic music into a medium for expressing deep, spiritual, and emotionally charged experiences. INCIPIT follows a similar path, constantly searching for new sounds, visceral emotions, and suspended atmospheres, able to transport the listener into a realm where dance meets dream.
The project aims to explore a musical vision built on connection, roots, and innovation, delivering in each track a message of artistic freedom and spiritual depth.
