The third release of 2005 from MoreHouse Records finds Evan Landes and Parrish Wintersmith (aka Groove Junkies) back at the controls while Diane Carter puts in another shift on vocals. What you get is another well-rounded production underpinned by a strong bassline, complimented by funky guitars, punchy keys and brass. Diane's vocals are every bit as effective as on last year's "Diva 2 Diva " release. The combination of power, passion, and subtlety almost make you believe she's singing for you personally, particully during the spoken segment. You have a choice of GJ's Classic Vox and Soul Excursion Vocal Dub versions, both of which are working well for me right now. The keyboard hook on the dub is particularly compelling. There have been plenty great tracks already this year, and this is right up there with the best of them in my opinion. Serious tune alert!!!!
