Pull Up Wheel Up

Sinden, Natalie Storm

Grizzly
GRIZZLY016 | 2012-03-05
With the burgeoning label's second birthday coming up in April and a much-anticipated compilation and tour due the same month, 2012 is already looking like another smasher for Grizzly and head honcho Sinden. And what better way for him to celebrate than stepping back to the fore with a brand new club-ready single featuring dancehall queen Natalie Storm.
`Pull Up Wheel Up' is Sinden's third release on Grizzly and his first solo record for the label, following two simmering collaborations with XL's resident masked man, the critically acclaimed SBTRKT. This new track sees Storm's commanding vocals pitched down and looped around the driving percussion and speaker shattering bass that Sinden is famous for. Horns bring the carnival vibe and ensure that `Pull Up...' will be played long after the release date ' this one has Summer written all over it!
On a remix tip Mad Decent's be-quiffed Dillon Francis, frontrunner of the Moombahton scene, ups the tempo and pulls the track further into the club ' listen out for the surprise Dubstep breakdown.
Toronto wunderkind and frequent Hype Machine chart topper John Roman (Skrillex, Brodinski and Laidback Luke are fans) takes things dark and deep with an unrelenting, almost tribal beat. It's strictly late night fare.
The tracks have been played by BBC Radio 1 DJ's, Annie Mac and Skream.
